The Manorville Interchange (LIE Exit 70)
Where the LIE compresses from three lanes to two before transitioning to Sunrise Highway. Weekend summer afternoons see backups extending five to seven miles westbound from this point. Friday outbound stalls are common between 3 PM and 7 PM.
Sunrise Highway Compression East of Westhampton
Sunrise Highway narrows from four lanes to two at the Hampton Bays / Westhampton transition. Weekend afternoons routinely back up. Old Montauk Highway (Route 27A) is a scenic alternate beyond Southampton but adds 15 to 20 minutes versus Route 27.
The Sagtikos State Parkway Alternative
Friday afternoon eastbound LIE between Exits 49 (Hicksville) plus 58 (Old Country Road) regularly stalls 60 to 90 minutes from 2 PM onward in summer. The Sagtikos State Parkway, connecting the LIE at Exit 53 down to Sunrise Highway at Bay Shore, lets chauffeurs route around the worst of it. Sagtikos is parkway-only: sedans plus SUVs can use it; Sprinters plus stretch limousines cannot.
Old Montauk Highway (Route 27A)
Beyond Southampton, Old Montauk Highway runs parallel to Route 27 along the dunes. Scenic, slower (15 to 20 extra minutes), best used when Route 27 backs up heavily or when the destination is on the south side of Amagansett or Montauk.
Ferry Coordination
Cross Sound Ferry (Orient Point to New London, Connecticut) plus North Ferry (Greenport to Shelter Island) require advance vehicle reservations during summer weekends. We coordinate pickup timing around your ferry boarding window, typically 60 minutes before sailing for vehicles.

Summer Friday outbound (after 2 PM) plus Sunday inbound (after 4 PM) can add 60 to 90 minutes through the Hamptons summer choke points on the LIE plus the Sunrise Highway compression east of Westhampton. Our chauffeurs route around the worst of it whenever possible. Montauk adds 30 to 45 minutes beyond East Hampton.
Do you serve East Hampton Airport (HTO) and Montauk Airport (MTP)?
Yes. We coordinate ground transportation for arrivals at East Hampton Airport (HTO, light aircraft only) plus Montauk Airport (MTP, seasonal operations). For larger private aircraft we coordinate at Republic Airport (FRG) in Farmingdale, then ground transport to your East End destination. JFK plus LGA remain the most common arrival points for international Hamptons trips.

Can I book a one-way Hamptons trip with a separate return?
Yes. Many regular Hamptons clients book exactly this pattern: Friday outbound to Southampton or East Hampton, Sunday return separately. Book both legs at once to lock the same vehicle plus chauffeur if requested; book them separately if your return timing is uncertain. There is no minimum trip duration for Hamptons runs.
