Redefining Excellence in Global Chauffeured Transportation

NYC to Long Island
Car & Limo Service

Long Island car service & limo service from NYC. Luxury chauffeur transportation door-to-door to every Long Island town: Gold Coast estates, North Shore harbors, South Shore beaches, the Hamptons.

Long Island Car Service & Limo Service Built on 30 Years of Routes

Long Island is not one drive. It is a Gold Coast estate at 9 AM, a Hamptons summer weekend at 4 PM, a Stony Brook hospital pickup at 11 PM, a JFK red-eye landing at 5 AM. Most NYC car services treat all four the same, and the rider feels it. Legends Limousine has chauffeured riders to every Long Island county since 1994, building thirty years of route memory across the LIE, the Sagtikos, the Northern State Parkway, the Montauk Highway, plus every private estate gate, ferry terminal, hospital service entrance, and wedding venue arrival pull east of the Throgs Neck Bridge.

Use this page as the map for the whole island. Find your town in the region guide below, open the regional page that covers it, then book one chauffeur for the full trip. Quotes lock at booking with no surge pricing, and in-house dispatch answers 24/7.

Which Long Island Region Covers Your Trip

East of Queens, Long Island splits into two counties: Nassau, then Suffolk. Each shore runs on its own roads, so Legends organizes Long Island service into four regions. Start with the region that holds your destination.

  • Gold Coast & North Shore (Nassau). Great Neck, Manhasset, Port Washington, Roslyn, Old Westbury, Oyster Bay. Most runs use the Long Island Expressway (I-495) or the Northern State Parkway. See our Gold Coast car service.
  • Suffolk North Shore. Huntington, Northport, Smithtown, Stony Brook, Port Jefferson. The Northern State Parkway ends in Hauppauge, so trips farther east finish on the expressway, Route 347 or Route 25A. See our Suffolk North Shore car service.
  • South Shore. Long Beach, Rockville Centre, Massapequa, Bay Shore, Sayville, Patchogue. The Southern State Parkway and Sunrise Highway (Route 27) carry these trips, including drops at the Fire Island ferry terminals. See our South Shore car service.
  • Hamptons & East End. The Hamptons out to Montauk, the North Fork out to Orient, plus Shelter Island. Most Hamptons trips leave the expressway at Exit 70 in Manorville for Sunrise Highway. See our Hamptons car service, the Manhattan to Hamptons car service, or, for airport arrivals, the JFK and LGA to Hamptons car service.

Long Island Service Area Detail: How Each Region Works

Each region has its own pace, terrain, plus rider profile. Below is how we approach service across the four service areas.

Gold Coast & North Shore Operational Notes

The Gold Coast plus Nassau North Shore (Great Neck, Manhasset, Port Washington, Sands Point, Roslyn, Old Westbury, Oyster Bay, Cold Spring Harbor, Lloyd Harbor) is a high-density estate corridor with private gates, long driveways, plus arrival pulls that vary by property. Our chauffeurs route to the appropriate entry gate when known in advance, otherwise the main entry. Common rider types: financial-sector commuters to Manhattan offices on Monday plus Tuesday early mornings; private school families coordinating to Buckley, Friends Academy, or Green Vale; wedding parties at Oheka Castle (Huntington), Glen Cove Mansion, or the Garden City Hotel. Vehicle preference skews toward sedans (Lincoln Aviator, Cadillac XT6 Sedan) for solo executive trips plus the Cadillac Escalade for family runs.

Suffolk North Shore Operational Notes

Suffolk North Shore covers Huntington, Northport, Smithtown, Stony Brook, plus Port Jefferson. Distinct from the Nassau Gold Coast, this corridor includes the Stony Brook University campus, Stony Brook University Hospital, Northwell Health Huntington Hospital, the Northport VA Medical Center, plus the Port Jefferson ferry terminal serving Bridgeport, Connecticut. Common rider types: academic visitors, hospital-related patient transport, ferry travelers extending into New England, plus corporate retreats at Three Village Inn or Danfords Hotel & Marina. Vehicle preference: SUV for family hospital visits, Sprinter for group academic events, sedan for executive day trips.

South Shore Operational Notes

The South Shore (Long Beach, Atlantic Beach, Lido Beach, Rockville Centre, Bay Shore, Sayville, Patchogue, Bellport) is summer-beach territory plus year-round suburban Nassau and southern Suffolk. The Fire Island ferry terminals (Bay Shore for Ocean Beach, Sayville for Fire Island Pines or Cherry Grove, Patchogue for Davis Park) drive significant warm-weather demand. Common rider types: beach-house weekend travelers, ferry-bound passengers needing the timed drop, Long Beach city commuters, summer concert traffic at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater. Vehicle preference: sedan or SUV for short Nassau runs, Sprinter van for groups carrying beach gear, stretch limousine for bachelor or bachelorette parties heading to Long Beach.

Hamptons & East End Operational Notes

The East End covers the South Fork, the North Fork plus Shelter Island, with demand that peaks between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Village guides, golf clubs plus ferry timing live on our Hamptons and East End car service page.

Sample NYC to Long Island Trip Plans

Three common trips show how dispatch plans around Long Island ferries, venues plus wine country. Your own plan follows your schedule.

Fire Island Ferry Weekend

Each Fire Island community sails from its own South Shore terminal. Fire Island Ferries leaves 99 Maple Avenue in Bay Shore for Ocean Beach, Kismet or Saltaire. The Sayville Ferry on River Road serves Fire Island Pines and Cherry Grove, while the Davis Park Ferry sails from Patchogue to Davis Park or Watch Hill. Share your sailing time, then dispatch sets your Manhattan pickup back from it.

Long Island Wedding Day Movement

A Long Island wedding often needs three vehicle types: a stretch limousine for the bridal party, a Sprinter van for the groomsmen, a 22 or 35 passenger bus for guests at the hotel block. Dispatch builds one timeline across every vehicle, then briefs each chauffeur on the arrival drive at venues such as Oheka Castle or the Garden City Hotel.

North Fork Wine Day

A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter seats up to 13 for a day of tastings. The route follows the Long Island Expressway to its end in Riverhead, then Route 25 east through Jamesport, Mattituck and Cutchogue. Your chauffeur waits at each stop, so nobody in the group drives.

NYC to Long Island Route Intelligence

Long Island has two parallel road systems, restrictions on commercial vehicles, plus traffic that changes by season, day, plus hour. These are the details our chauffeurs plan around.

Parkways vs. Expressways: Why Your Vehicle Matters

New York bars commercial vehicles from its parkways, including the Northern State, Southern State and Cross Island. Low bridges on these parkways limit vehicle height, so Sprinter vans and buses stay on the Long Island Expressway (I-495) or Sunrise Highway (Route 27). Sedans and SUVs can use the parkways when they move faster. A Sprinter bound for the Hamptons runs out the expressway to Exit 70, then south on County Road 111 to Sunrise Highway.

Where the Expressway Ends

The Long Island Expressway ends at Exit 73 in Riverhead, where traffic feeds onto County Road 58. Hamptons trips usually leave earlier, at Exit 70 in Manorville, for County Road 111 to Sunrise Highway. Exit 71 offers a second path on Route 24 through Flanders to Hampton Bays, while North Fork trips continue past Riverhead on Route 25.

Cross Sound Ferry & Port Jefferson Ferry Coordination

Cross Sound Ferry links Orient Point with New London, Connecticut, while the Bridgeport & Port Jefferson Ferry crosses from Port Jefferson Village to Bridgeport. Many clients book a one-way Long Island drop that continues by ferry to New England. Share your sailing time at booking, then dispatch times the drop to the arrival guidance your ferry operator gives.

JFK to Long Island

From JFK, the Belt Parkway leads east toward the Southern State Parkway for South Shore towns. North Shore trips take the Van Wyck Expressway to the Long Island Expressway instead. Your chauffeur checks live traffic at pickup before choosing between them.

Long Island Car & Limo Service: Your Questions Answered

How much does NYC to Long Island car service cost?

Pricing varies by destination distance, vehicle type, time of day, plus whether you request additional stops or in-terminal airport meet service. A Great Neck drop prices below a Port Jefferson or Montauk drop, and a sedan prices below an SUV or Sprinter. Your quote locks at booking with no surge pricing. Call our 24/7 dispatch at (888) 534-3637 or request a quote online.

Which Legends page covers my Long Island town?

Four regional pages cover Long Island, one for each county and shore. Nassau's North Shore towns, such as Great Neck, Manhasset, Port Washington and Oyster Bay, sit on our Gold Coast page. Huntington, Northport, Smithtown, Stony Brook and Port Jefferson sit on the Suffolk North Shore page. Long Beach, Bay Shore and the Fire Island ferry towns sit on the South Shore page. The Hamptons, the North Fork plus Shelter Island sit on the Hamptons and East End page.

Do you provide car seats for Long Island family trips?

Yes. Newborn, infant, toddler, and booster car seats are available on request when you book. Just specify the child's age and weight; we provision the correct seat at the chauffeur's vehicle. Long Island family trips frequently include car seats for grandparents' visits, beach weekends, plus airport pickups returning from out-of-town family travel.

Can I book a one-way trip to Long Island and a return on a separate day?

Yes. Book both legs on one reservation to keep the same vehicle class for the ride out and the return, or book the return separately if your date is still open. A Friday trip out with a Sunday return is a common Long Island pattern, and dispatch can match your chauffeur on both legs when you ask at booking.

Do you serve Long Island airports such as MacArthur and Republic?

Yes. We serve Islip MacArthur (ISP) in central Suffolk County, Republic Airport (FRG) in Farmingdale, plus Westchester County Airport (HPN) for connections to and from western Connecticut. Most NYC-to-Long-Island corporate clients fly into JFK or LGA. For FBO traffic we serve Republic and the private aviation terminal at MacArthur. We flight-track every arrival.
